OUTReach Cumbira LGBT Consortium (15/01/11)

The Cumbria LGBT Consortium & OUTReach Cumbria are hosting a forum to discuss the position of LGBT in Cumbria.

Saturday 15th January at Carlisle Enterprise Centre from 11am - 2pm
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

Topics for discussion:
  •   The County Councils 'Have Your Say' Public consultation on the proposed financial review
  •    Issues affecting the LGB and T communities in Cumbria
  •    The future of service provision (LGB and T)
  •    Proposed pride event - June 2011

Cumbria County Council LGBT Survey

Cumbria County Council's Adult and Local Services are asking for views on accessing services and what makes this a good experience.  They are doing this to help them understand more about lives and concerns of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (transsexual people) and will use the information in Cumbria to help them:

  • Improve services
  • Understand the needs of LGBT people 
  • Effectively respond to these

The Cumbria LGBT Consortium

OutREACH Cumbria and The Cumbria LGBT Consortium is holding another LGBT Forum in Carlisle at the Enterprise Centre, James Street on Saturday the 15th January, from 11 – 2pm (lunch provided). It would be great if we can get as many LGBT people from across Cumbria as possible to attend.

The focus will be:

·         Feedback from the last LGBT Forum (23 October 2010)

·         The County Councils proposed changes to services

·         Health and Well-being

·         The future of LGB...
